Despite of much negative expectation, Takara finally shipped Female Jinro in Cool Girl 12" Action Figure line (aka CyGirl) on 11 June after a long delay. Takara had been suffering from financial problems and the market expected the termination of new products like the Female Jinro.

This May, Takara closed a M&A deal with another major Japanese toy company, TOMY, and a digital contents publisher, INDEX. They will form a new company next Spring, and this resurrected Takara somewhat and allowed them to release much delayed new products.
